“After years of weight loss, I am in need of some major toning”

In Laura’s words…

“I need to explain why I wanted to try Slendertone. I am at my fittest I have ever been. My journey with fitness is different from most people. I was once a UK size 22/24. I lost 7 and a half stone and got down to a size 8/10. My weight then fluctuated to a size 12 and I went through some mental health issues and my fitness suffered. I started to get into mountain biking and my newfound love of fitness began.

After years of weight loss. I am in need of some major toning in the tummy area and I have heard so many good things about the Slendertone Connect Abs toning belt that I knew I had to give this a go. I popped the control unit on to charge and downloaded the Slendertone app. It has 5 toning programmes that can be used while you are exercising or even relaxing including post-natal tummy toning, essential and advanced core workouts and maintaining fitness.

Within the app, you have access to personalised coaching and motivation. I love this as I do like to follow a program and be motivated to keep going. There is a progress tracker in the app too so you can really see how you are improving, and this helps me to keep on top of  my game. The app recommends a programme for you based on your personal details and motivations. Mine is the Advanced Toning which I do 5 days a week for 30 minutes per session.

It is a hard sensation to describe. It’s like a tingling feeling that contracts your muscles. It is not in any way painful. My program starts more gently and gets more intense as time goes on. It kind of feels like when you do a sit up. Even though you are recommended a program, you have full control over how intense you want to have the session, you can turn it up or down via the belt itself or via the app.

I have completed a six-week programme with Slendertone now. I can feel my core is stronger and it looks more defined. I liked that Slendertone is so simple to use and that you can do it anywhere at any time. This has really helped with my confidence, and I look and feel better in my clothes.
